A regular zip file is not the same as a nb0 file. Therefore, you are unable to extract it using 7zip or any other zip application.
To extract the information from the nb0 file, a programmer from the XDA forums created NB0 Tools FIH Mobile. The.nb0 file’s contents can be read and unpacked, providing you access to specific files (like system, boot, modem, etc.).
Howto extract Contents of .nb0 File/Firmware
Step 1: Download the.nb0 based Stock Firmware to your computer (if you have already downloaded the.nb0 Firmware, SKIP this Step) if not, search for the.nb0 based Stock Firmware website or Google).
Step 2: Download and Extract NB0 Tools on your Computer. Once the tool is extracted.
Step 3: Double-Click on the NB0 Tools FIH Mobile v3.4.exe file to Launch the Tool.
Step 4: Once the tool is launched, you will be able to see the following Window:
Step 5: Click on Select NB0 File Button and locate the .nb0 Firmware on your Computer:
Step 6: Now, the tool will list out the contents of NB0 Firmware.
Step 7: Click on the Unpack Button:
Step 8: Locate the Folder where you want to save the contents of NB0 Firmware.
Step 9: Once the Extracting process is completed, Click on Done Button.
Step 10: Close the Tool and Open the folder (where you saved the files) to see the Extracted Files.
